10/11/2008 - Unsolved Fatal Hit and Run, Alma, Ontario

Unsolved Fatal Hit and Run

Sometime between the hours of 11:45pm on Friday October 10th and 12:08am on Saturday October 11th 2008, a fatal hit and run occurred on Wellington Road 17, just east of Alma in Mapleton Township. The victim was an 18 year old man from Fergus, who was hit while walking along the south side of the road in an eastbound direction. The suspect vehicle has been determined to be an older model, white, 1995-1997 Dodge Neon, similar to photo of vehicle shown here. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger front corner, side panel and window.

 

The police and the family of the victim really need your help. If you have any information about this crime, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You will remain anonymous. Found Human Remains

On August 28, 2005, human remains were located by a pedestrian walking in a wooden rest stop/picnic area on Highway 7, west of the Town of  Rockwood, Ontario. OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Guelph Crime Unit, are investigating this as a suspicious death.

Desciription:

Race: White

Age: 25- 45 years

Height: 5`4" to 5`6"

Weight: 130 lbs (approx.)

Hair: Medium Brown

Other: Partial upper dental plate; previous injuries include: a broken nose, left eye socket and left 7th rib of front rib cage.

Clothing:

Brassiere: Pink, label "725 Originals" with the number "31" printed on the left cup.

Panties: Thong style with a small pink bow at the waist, label "Rivage Intimate"

T-Shirt: Tank style, label "Atmosphere" with one inch straps and a round neck line, size 10/12

Shorts: Corduroy, label "Illegal Jeanswear" with two horizontal zippered front pockets, two back pockets with button down flaps, size 9.

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in the hope of determining the identity of the deceased.

Unsolved Murder of Gus Fourtounes

Crime Stoppers of Wellington County is asking for help in solving the murder of Gus Fourtounes.

A stabbing occurred on the 25th of August in 2005 at 4:42am on Elizabeth Street in Guelph. A male resident of Elizabeth Street was awakened by a male calling for help. When he answered the door he observed a male on his porch bleeding from his chest. Royal City Ambulance transported the male, a 40 year old Guelph male, to Guelph General Hospital.

Gus Fourtounes, died in hospital at 5:41am, August 25, 2005 from injuries received in the stabbing. 

This case is still unsolved and investigators are asking the public to come forward with any information about this case. Crime Stoppers of Wellington County will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this horrific crime. Unsolved Murder of Wayne Greavette

Crime Stoppers of Wellington County is asking for help in solving the murder of Wayne Greavette.

Wayne Greavette, 42, was killed on December 12, 1996, when a flashlight bomb, delivered to his Puslinch Township residence, detonated and killed him instantly. sixteen years later, the case is still unsolved.

Investigators are pleading with the public to come forward with any information about this case. Crime Stoppers of Wellington County will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this horrific crime. Unsolved Murder of Gregory Lembke

Gregory LEMBKE was a 26 year old man. He was separated from his wife at the time of his death and lived alone in a rural farmhouse outside of Ayton, Ontario. He did not own a motor vehicle.  

On Saturday, January 4th, 1992, at approximately 4:00 p.m. the body of Gregory Murray LEMBKE was found lying in a bush lot north east of Mount Forest, Ontario. He had been shot in the neck and head at close range with a .410 calibre shotgun. The murder occurred at this location.

One spent .410 gauge, Remington 3", Number 6 shot, shotgun shell casing, and one live .410 Remington shotgun shell were found in the middle of the driveway leading into the area, on the East side of the closed wooden rail gate.

A dark blue 4x4 style pick up truck was seen in Gregory LEMBKE’S driveway the evening before his body was found.

On April 15th,1992 police were informed of the discovery of two guns, located in the south ditch of the Egremont-Glenelg Township Line, in Southgate, Ontario. One gun was found to be a Norica, bolt action repeater, single barrel .410 gauge shotgun, model 1500 Ranger. This shotgun was confirmed as the gun that shot the spent .410 gauge shotgun shell found at the murder scene. This gun was found to have been stolen in a residential break-in late in 1991. Also stolen in this B and E was a Curtis video cassette recorder which was later recovered after being resold.

Police have conducted hundreds of interviews and completed all forensic testing, however the murder remains unsolved.
